The results are in, what a fantastic day the Xtreme Team had on Sunday. I managed to place 2nd in my Figure International division out of 40+ girls so I was extremely happy with this. In this division they are looking for the most symmetrical physique, you are also judged on execution of quarter turns and overall presentation. Photos for this are below. In the Open physique I placed 2nd again, this round there was only 3 in my division. In this division they are looking for the leanest physique with good muscular development. You perform quarter turns and also muscularity poses. I haven’t got any pics yet of this round but will post them up asap. The last week of my prep was quite smooth, I depleted for 4 days in total and I actually felt pretty good considering, on the 4th day I trained for the last time and that’s when I really felt it, I just had nothing more to give, I thought that I looked very veiny and still full due to the water and still got a fairly good pump even on the last day of depletion, I actually thought my conditioning at this point was pretty good and I was a bit scared to carb load and lose it. However Ash gave me the go ahead to eat a bowl of oats and I didn’t object lol. I must admit it is quite hard mentally to stop all exercise and start eating carbs but I knew I was in good hands. Sunday came around very fast and I was quite nervous but super excited at the same time, I think because it was a last minute decision to compete and I threw this on Ash 13 weeks out from the comp while breastfeeding lol I was feeling a little unsure of how the day would go as normally you would have a good off season and then start preparing 18-20 weeks out to be sure you are in the best condition. I definitely recommend this option as mentally it is hard when you feel you haven’t done it correctly. But all credit goes to Ash who managed to pull me into a competitive condition in 13 weeks while working around breastfeeding and then stopping feeding with only 13 weeks to prepare. I cant wait to start my good off season plan now and then start my preparation for next year may/june comps. Thanks so much to everyone who has followed my blogs throughout this preparation it was fun writing them and its great to have them now to look back on in future preps. I hope I have inspired some of you to compete in the future. Gemxo
